Yes, to ensure eligibility for Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) and British citizenship, Global Talent Visa holders should limit their time spent outside the UK. Here are the guidelines:

1. ILR Residency Requirements:

• To qualify for ILR, Global Talent Visa holders should avoid spending more than 180 days outside the UK in any 12-month period during their qualifying residence period (3 to 5 years, depending on their category).

2. British Citizenship:

• If you intend to apply for British citizenship, the UK requires that applicants meet even stricter residency requirements. Generally, applicants must not have spent more than 450 days outside the UK over a 5-year period and no more than 90 days in the last year before applying.

Exceeding these limits may delay or impact eligibility for ILR or citizenship. Global Talent Visa holders who travel frequently should carefully track their time abroad.
